• Then, dial the legislative message line at 1-800-372-7181. The line is staffed Mon-Thurs 7am - 9pm, Friday 7am - 6pm, and is closed over the weekend.

• Tell the operator you'd like to leave a message for [insert name of your State Senator] regarding SB229 CARR.

• The operator will ask you for your name, city, and zip code and may also give you the option of leaving your phone number.

 In your phone message include:

• I am a volunteer with the Kentucky-based organization Whitney/Strong.

• I'm asking Senator [name] to support SB229 CARR.

• This bill deserves a committee hearing because it's an important step toward protecting the life and safety of gun owners and my community. We must intervene before gun owners in crisis hurt themselves or others.
